a satisfying saturday

saturday.november.5th.2005

06:45 am: alarm went off. showered. dressed up.

07:30 am: e-mail and internet.

07:50 am: friend came and picked me up.

08:15 am: had breakfast @ chinese restaurant popular for its roasted duck

09:00 am: arrived at royal place complex. continued sightseeing: silver pagoda, throne hall, etc. spectacular place! admission: khmer: 1000 riels, foreigner: USD $1.

11:15 am: toured parts of phnom penh: bak tuk, boeng keng kang, and phsar depot.

12:00 pm: arrived home. read cambodia daily. lounged.

02:30 pm: friend called. ask if i wanted to join them for bubble tea by us embassy.

02:59 pm: motodop got lost. arrived late. soaked in the rain.

03:35 pm: called students to cancel english teaching class at 4. stayed at cafe until rain died down(just barely).

04:30 pm: left to soriya mall. purchased new sim phone card. now 016 prefix instead of crappy 011.

05:00 pm: arrived at pannasastra university. attended the 5th annual southeast asian youth culture night.

06:45 pm: arrived at the historic chaktamuk theater for 2nd annual phnom penh international music festival. splendid show!!

08:30 pm: dined at frizz restaurant.

10:00 pm: home safe. no encounter with aks tonight. :)
