I love your blogs. I think it would make a great book. The timing is right. With the tribunal coming up, the focus will be on Cambodia's future. You are Cambodia's future. Your writing speaks to and for other Cambodians--second generations overseas khmers. With your blogs, you are doing everything rignt. The catagory titles are clever. And you're a very good writer--insightful and intelligent.
I know I have not been helpful with your other causes.. ahh.. my life is crazy, work is crazy busy, I've been running myself so ragged that my body is shot. In the last 5 weeks, I am not dealing with excruciating back/shoulders/neck pain that makes me want to vomit after over an hour on the computer. I've seen chiropractors, physical therapists, doctors, masotherapist and more. But that's another story.. I'm just pissed because I don't have time to get sick..
Anyway, back to you, if you are interested to turn your experience into a book, I would love to help in any way I can. I know very good people. You may know that Theary Seng is coming out with her book about life during the KR regime. There are many books written about the KR regime. You would do a great service to us Khmers and to the world by putting out a book that focuses on the future. If you are interested, I have a few thoughts.. I think you need to keep physical notes on the very smallest of details..rocks, walking bare feet, grass, monks robes.. great details make for a good read. Also, add more of yourself in it. I included the website above because Bang Ronnie is doing work to deal with what being Cambodian means.. I think the world will be curious to know what being Cambodian-American means.. and your connection to a history that captures your soul and heart but of which you were not there for. I love the blogs about your mother's fear, and your insights on politics, cultures, and history..
Dang.. shoulders are hurting..
Just want to say thank your for opening my eyes .
